Sweden's Sound of Detestation are back on Grindhead Records with their 2nd full length album Ge Fan I Våra Liv!
After spending the last few years writing touring, Sound of Detestation have worked brilliantly to expand their sound. Almost overnight it seems they have mutated into a multi-dimensional grindcore monster that is set to expand the horizons of modern grindcore.
While many modern grind acts have looked to other genres for influence - Nasum of course took a strong hardcore and crust influence and infused their grindcore with patches of melody and (perhaps most importantly) groove - Sound of Detestation have taken their progressive grind even further, expanding on Nasum's more melodic and groove-driven moments to push further through passages of epic post-hardcore from later-era Breach and Cult of Luna, the modern death metal influence of Coldworker and the crust/hardcore of Skitsystem.
And all of these fantastic elements are only enhanced by the beautifully thick and warm production of William Blackmon (Gadget) at his studio The Overlook in Gävle, Sweden.
This is clearly the work of a band who refuse to stay stagnant. This is epic European modern grinding hardcore and metal at it's finest. Fans of Nasum, Rotten Sound, Afgrund, Skitsystem - and even Breach, Cult of Luna, Coldworker - would do well to look this one up.

The band really worked hard on this album and is excited to get it out so it can burrow it's way into your ears and minds. This album was recorded with the idea of it being a listening experience filled with bizarre and nightmarish brutality. "The new release will contain rerecordings of all the songs from demo 2007, 3 new songs and most of the songs from the Merciless Insane Death demo-tape in remixed/remastered versions. We've not decided yet which songs to bring to the album and not but we aiming at around 10-11 songs.

In 1991 they recorded a demo produced by legendary producer Jim Morris. In 1992, their debut album "The Sentencing" was recorded but due to internal problems the band broke up the following year. Barrett and Marquez would go on to join MALEVOLENT CREATION. In 1994 Munoz and Marquez played with a hardcore band called ANGER and in 1995 SOLSTICE was reformed with a new lineup. A second album titled "Pray" was released but they soon disbanded once again.

New SVARTTHRON album will be released next year
After releasing his „Bearer of the Crimson Flame“ last summer, SVARTTHRON didn‘t tumble into stagnation, but almost all year long nursed his new creation. The main founder of the band Tomhet made some essential changes in process of the band and invited some musicians known from other bands to join the new creation stage. New album will be called „Kraujo Estetika“ (transl. Blood Aesthetics) in which vocals are done by Levas (ANDAJA). At the very beginning it was clear, that there will be no programed drums in this release, so the seek for the live drummer who would like to colaborate with the album began. The search didn‘t went too long and drummer [k] (ARGHARUS) took the drum duties. Drum recordings were done in „Unitedzeros“ studio. Furthermore the album „speaks“ lithuanian – all lyrics are done exceptionaly in Lithuanian language. Tomhet didn‘t limit himself only to these changes and invited Kommander L (LUCTUS, FUCK OFF AND DIE!) to do some vocal parts in the album. It can be said that all the variations brought in novelty and freshness. Different sound and variety are guaranteed.
Despite all the member changes SVARTTHRON will remain a non-concert band.

Tampa-based death metallers DIABOLIC have completed recording their fifth full-length CD, Excisions Of Exorcisms. The band's current lineup includes founding members Aantar Coates (drums), Paul Ouellette (bass/vocals), and guitarists Kelly McLauchlin (UNHOLY GHOST, PESSIMIST) and Jeff Parrish (BLASTMASTERS).

DETERIOROT Return!
2009 marks the unholy return of Death Metal legends DETERIOROT, and they're doing it through XTREEM MUSIC!!
Hailing from the early 90's NJ/NY scene together with bands like GOREAPHOBIA, MORTICIAN, IMMOLATION, REVENANT, INCANTATION, CEREMONIUM.... DETERIOROT released a demo in '92 and a 7"EP in '93 on Repulse Rec. (formerly Drowned, later Xtreem Music) and they were supposed to release their debut on the same label later in '94, but due to some internal problems both in the band & label, nothing happened until in 2001 the band finally released their full length album "In Ancient Beliefs". Later in '03, the band recorded their sophomore release "The Faithless", but another band split-up left the album unfinished until now, after summer 2009, XTREEM MUSIC got in touch with DETERIOROT's mainman Paul Zavaleta and agreeded to finish the recordings for this album to give it birth in early 2010.
The band is currently re-erecording all vocals, bass and some guitar lines as well as mixing and mastering the album to ensure their most dark and heavy release so far. "The Faithless" keeps all the trademarks of the band in terms of heaviness and brutality that always characterized their sound along with an unique voice that differs form the usual guttural growlings, and opting for a more evil and dark approach. Lovers of early INCANTATION stuff with a heavier and darker feel, with a hint of AUTOPSY and old Swedish & Finish Death Metal bands. will for sure praise DETERIOROT (in case they didn't already!!).
